About the Book:

A wildfire threat…

becomes a missing person search.

A serial arsonist is out for revenge in the Canadian Rocky Mountains—and kidnaps park warden Hazel Hoyt’s son and his camping troop. Now Hazel must team up with the man who broke her heart, firefighter Mitchell Booth, to find the missing boys as wildfires blaze around them. But someone has no intention of letting the pair get off the mountain alive…

My Rating & Thoughts:

None stop action. Hazel is a park warden and her son's scout troop has gone missing. Impacting the search for the boys wildfires are happening in the national park and storms. Rain is good for the fires, but not so much for the searchers. There is an arsonist setting these fires and that person may or may not have Hazel's son. Hazel reconnects with her best friends brother, Mitchell, who is a firefighter working with his team to stop these fires. Both Hazel and Mitchell are threatened and injured by the arsonist but won't let that stop them from finding the boys. However the arsonist always seems to know their next steps. I was able to figure out who was assisting the arsonist but didn't know the motive or who the arsonist was. I enjoyed the suspense however I didn't care at all about the romance.

(I borrowed a copy of this book from a friend; opinions expressed
