Private Justice by Terri Blackstock (Review)

Series: Newpointe 911 #1
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Publisher: Zondervan
Released: January 1, 1998
364 pages
About the Book:

Staying together had seemed impossible. Now it's their only hope. A dark shadow of fear has fallen over Newpointe, Louisiana. First one, then another of the town firemen's wives has been murdered, and a third has barely escaped an attempt on her life. Incredible as it seems, a serial killer is stalking this sleepy little southern community. And Mark Branning's wife may be next on the list. Mark is determined to protect her. But keeping Allie alive won't be easy, not with their marriage already dying a bitter death. Unless they renew their commitment to each other and to God, someone else may settle their problems ... permanently. And time to decide is running out.

My Rating & Thoughts:    ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fast paced with lots happening. There are a lot of characters, however it was easy to distinguish between them, and I felt like I really got so many of them. Someone is targeting firefighter wives. Two are killed very early on and others are targeted. The police are left asking who and why. The main couple is married but currently separated, can their relationship be restored and survive this trying time or will this be the end? There was a certain character I suspected very early on, but couldn't figure out the motive. The police suspect a few people and eventually narrow it down to the person I suspected, and finally the motive was revealed. The characters are dealing with personal struggles and flaws and turn to God in repentance and for guidance. I enjoyed this cast of characters and look forward to continuing the series.

(I purchased my copy of this book; opinions expressed
in this review are my honest opinion and completely my own.)
