Falling for You by Becky Wade

Series: Bradford Sisters Romance #2
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Bethany House
Released: May 1, 2018
368 pages
About the Book:
Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family's small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin--and suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.

Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he's never stopped regretting what happened between them. When their paths unexpectedly cross again, he's determined to make her give him a second chance.

When a decades-old missing persons case finds Corbin and Willow working together, they're forced to confront their past and who they've become--and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

My Rating & Thoughts:    🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ðŸŒŸ    (5 stars)

Emotional, romantic and so very enjoyable! I couldn’t wait to find out Willow and Corbin’s story after getting a tiny glimpse of it in the previous book. I was intrigued to find out what had broken them up, that intrigue continued quite a bit into this book. Readers do not find out the cause until well into the story, but by this point I was intrigued with more than just their back story. I wanted to know where the missing person search would lead them and wanted to keep reading to find out if they found some answers.

Charlotte asks Corbin to ask Willow to help her search for her missing aunt, but neither Corbin nor Willow want to get involved for various reasons but the main one for Willow is that she would have to interact with Corbin. But she agrees to help Charlotte and this changes her in ways she hadn’t imagined. Not only does she have to interact with Corbin much more than she wanted to, but the things they uncover in this search are disturbing. Will the search provide Charlotte’s family with answers after such a long time of not knowing what happened?

I loved Charlotte, she had some great lines that made me smirk. Corbin was entertaining and I loved his determination, he is a fighter. He broke all her rules on purpose, but it was never in a bad way. Rather the way he did it was amusing and made him enduring. The circumstances Corbin and his father were enduring were difficult; it is so hard to watch a family member suffer with cancer. I could feel Corbin’s pain and hurt for him. The one thing that really frustrated me was the promise that Cobin’s dad asked Willow to make. It broke my heart. Thankfully things work out (in believable way).

Faith, overcoming guilt and learning to forgive are subjects that are significantly discussed, but it never felt out of place in the story, but rather they were weaved smoothly into the story. In true Ms. Wade fashion readers are given a little peak into Britt’s life and her romantic possibilities which has now left to patiently wait for the next book to see if what I want to happen is going to happen.

My Rating & Thoughts:    🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ðŸŒŸ    (5 stars)

I enjoyed Willow and Corbin together, whether they were getting along or not. I found myself laughing at how much she disliked him, and wondering what really had happened between the two of them years ago. I enjoyed them working together, whether Willow liked it or not, in order to help Charlotte. I liked that consequences to their actions were shown, and seeing them work through these issues and the forgiveness that came as they were working through this.

This was a great story of redemption with a sweet romance and also a little bit of a mystery to be solved also. While this series could be read as a stand alone book, I would recommend reading the series in order. I look forward to Brit’s story next!
