Happy Friday! Another one of my favourite author's is Susan May Warren. Earlier this year I reviewed the first two books in her Montana Rescue Series. Coming July 4th is the third book, which I have been lucky enough to recieve an advance copy from Revell. My brain can't decide what it really thinks about reading a book set in snowboarding season in June, on one hand it will definitely help you think cold thoughts when it is so hot outside but on the other hand my minds keeps saying wrong season. Does it bother you to read book set in a different season that it currently is?
Today's book is: A Matter of Trust by Susan May Warren
"Gage Watson blamed the trouble on the bright, sunny day."
"Gage Watson blamed the trouble on the bright, sunny day."
Can a bright, sunny day really be trouble? I love the sun so I don't think so, but maybe Ms. Warren will prove to me that yes it can be.
Now it's your turn! Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. Then join in more First Line fun by visiting these blogs:

ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! My first line is from Karen Kirst's new LIH book The Engagement Charade, coming out July 1st (and it's REALLY good!): "Alexander Copeland's one goal in life was to be left alone."
I just looked up that book and it looks interesting. That first line in intriguing.
DeleteI'm currently reading (and loving) All Of You by Sarah Monzon. "Lieutenant Michael "Finch" Carrington pulled up the zipper of his green flight suit and stared at the mass on the opposite rack."
ReplyDeleteOhhh I loved that book! My review is actually scheduled to be on the blog tomorrow.
DeleteThat is an interesting first line. :) Pulls you in (even if it's to see if the author/character can prove something with which you disagree ;) )!

Happy Friday and Happy Reading!
I can't wait to read this one. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy first line is:
“It started with a phone call, deceptively simple and easy to ignore.” ~All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda.
Dinh @Arlene's Book Club
Maybe the sunny day is prompting people to get out of doors ... where they meet other people ... and trouble ensues because... well, people. LOL :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteYes it can be dangerous going outside as anything can happen. :)
DeleteIt doesn't bother me, but I live in Florida so if I waited for cold weather to read winter books, I'd be waiting forever, lol. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE Susan May Warren.
I recently started Three Little Words by Melissa Tagg. "Seven years shouldn't feel like such a gaping span of time."
I can see how living in Florida would make that difficult. Here in Canada though I don't have that problem. LOL
DeleteI'll be reading this one soon!!
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing this cover floating around. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have read any books by this author, but I keep seeing her books everywhere. Are you going to do a review of this text. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteReview of this book will be posted in a couple weeks. I highly recommend this author, my favourite book by her has to be "It Had To Be You", but there are lots of other really good ones too.
DeleteI'm excited about this book! I'll be reading it soon!!!
ReplyDeleteUnless you get one of those miracles they're always talking about in church, I don't see how you'll be able to keep the business open into spring.
