First Line Friday - Week 3

Happy Friday! This week I am in the middle of a book that releases in just a little over a week's time (June 6th).  I've never read this author before and really enjoying it so far. I'll share all my thoughts once I've finished it.

Today's book is: More Than A Soldier by Irene Onorato

"Hank Fleming peeled off his cold, wet t-shirt and tossed it aside in the dark."

Hmm… where is he? Why is his shirt cold and wet? You'll have to pick it up to find out. Winking smile

Now it's your turn! Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. Then join in more First Line fun by visiting these blogs:

  1. My first line comes from FIRSTBORN by Tosca Lee.

Six weeks ago, I woke up in a cabin in the north woods of Maine with no memory of the last two years or any pertinent details of my life before.

    Happy Weekend and Happy Reading!

  2. Ah! Another military theme! I have the first line from Teresa Tysinger's upcoming release on my blog, but here I'm going to share the first line from 'Nightshade' by Ronie Kendig, in honour of its recent re-release:

“Gut pressed to the spine of his Hayabusa, Max Jacobs bore down the mountainous two-lane road.”

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Sounds like a sweet read!

This week, I'm trying to put some reading time into "The Memoirs of General William T. Sherman" (for research) and "Threads of Suspicion (by Dee Henderson--my first of hers to read).

  5. Happy Friday!! Sounds good! I will check out that author.
My first line is from White by Denise Weimer: “The dream started the way Jennifer’s actual visit to the house at 104 Main Street, Hermon, had begun, on a road that hurtled past green fields & dust-blown wildflowers into forever, ending in a community time had forgotten.”
