Series: Men of Valor #4
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Publisher: Love Inspired
Released: Feb. 9, 2016
224 pages

About the Book:

Wounded Navy SEAL Luke Dunham's only goal is returning to active duty…until he rescues his physical therapist from a lethal attack. Now he'll risk everything—even his recovery—to keep Mandy Berg's attacker at bay. Mandy's been burned before when she trusted the wrong man. And she knows better than to develop feelings for one of her patients. Yet how can she help falling for a man who does not hesitate to put his strength, his skill and his very life in harm's way to keep her safe? Relying on anyone feels dangerous…but turning away Luke's protection could be deadly.

My Rating & Thoughts:

Luke and Mandy meet when Luke come to her office for physical therapy after his knee injury due to an IED. He's worried he won't be able to return as an active SEAL and she's determined to keep her distance due to her past. However they end up coming to an agreement when Luke learns someone is targeting her. While I liked the characters, in particular Luke, some of their reactions to events felt unrealistic. It was hard to believe that Luke would have been able to do everything he did with his injury and not make it worse. And with the number of near death experiences Mandy went through in a matter of days, I think she wasn't as cautious as someone probably would be. There was very little faith mentioned in this story.

(I purchased my copy of this book; opinions expressed
in this review are my honest opinion and completely my own.)
