First Line Friday (Week 58): Deadly Undertow

Happy Friday!

Welcome to First Line Friday's hosted by Hoarding Books.

Today's book is: Deadly Undertow by Christy Barritt

Deadly Undertow
First Line:
"Cady Matthews listened to the dull sound of her boots hitting the cement beneath her. She tried to pace her steps instead of listening to her instincts and breaking out into a run."

Just released 2 days ago! This is the conclusion to the Lantern Beach Mysteries. I have fallen in love with this series and can't wait to see how things turn out for Cassidy. I picked this up the day it was released, but have to finish a couple books before I will be able to read it. Maybe an incentive to read faster?

Now it's your turn!
Let me know your first line in the comments and then head over
to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!

  1. I love Barritt's books! I shared from The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck on my blog. But here I'll share the first line from the next book in my TBR pile -- A Rebel Heart by Beth White. "Selah could hear the horses thundering closer, oncoming hell and destruction." Happy Friday!

You see, love stories never worked for her. She never got the guy.
