First Line Friday (Week 52): Primary Suspect

Happy Friday!

Welcome to First Line Friday's hosted by Hoarding Books.

Today's book is: Primary Suspect by Laura Scott

Primary Suspect
First Line:
"Fire Investigator Mitch Callahan cautiously approached the
burned-out shell of a warehouse located on Milwaukee's south side."

It was Love Inspired Suspense books that re-ignited my passion for reading about 6 or 7 years ago. At that time I picked up the new ones every chance I got. Over the last few years I haven't read very many from this line, but recently I received this one for an upcoming blog tour. I am just about to start it and just opened it now to write down the first line for this post. Now I want to know what is Mitch about to find?

Now it's your turn!
Let me know your first line in the comments and then head over
to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!

  1. I am a huge fan of Love Inspired books!

I just finished Winning Miss Winthrop by Carolyn Miller and the first line is “The deeply blue Gloucestershire sky brought comfort as Catherine Winthrop emerged from the tenant farmhouse.”

  3. The book I'm sharing on my blog is Unblemished by Sara Ella but I'm currently reading called The Road Home by Beverly Lewis. I shared the first line last week so I'll share the first line of chapter 22 where I am right now: " The next morning, after the four o'clock milking and a nice hot breakfast, Mimi suggested Harley take a lemon pound cake over to Abram Mast's for his birthday." Cake anyone? :P (I actually don't like it though lol).

  4. I'm a big romantic suspense fan, and wish Love Inspired Suspense were as easy to find in New Zealand as all the other Mills & Boon books.

I'm sharing the very long first line from A Defense of Honor from the new Haven Manor series by Kristi Ann Hunter on my blog today. It was one of those read-in-a-day books :)

I’m currently reading Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh, a romance about a woman wanting to reconnect with the mother who abandoned her years ago. But the first line is from the viewpoint of the hero:

    He shouldn’t be here.
A diner in some little tourist town in Michigan was no place for Grady Benson, but here he was.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. I've been a reader since I was little, but when in college I lost the passion for fiction reading (too many textbooks). But one day on a trip I was looking for something to read and found a LIS book and haven't stopped reading since.
