First Line Friday - Week 32

Happy Friday!!!

Welcome to First Line Friday's hosted by Hoarding Books.

Today's book is: You're Gonna Love Me by Robin Lee Hatcher

You're Gonna Love Me

First line is:
"Samantha Winters parked her car in the Caldwell hospital parking lot. Before opening the door, she pressed her forehead against the steering wheel and drew in a couple of deep breaths."

Today we are celebrating the release of this book (came out Tuesday). I had the privledge of reading an advance reader copy (arc) and highly recommend this one. This was the first book I have read by Robin Lee Hatcher and I can tell you it will not be the last. My review can be found here.

Now it's your turn!
Let me know your first line in the comments and then head over
to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!

  1. That sounds like such a great book! I'm going to need to read it. :)
Today on my blog I’m sharing the first line from Liz Curtis Higg’s “A Wreath of Snow”. A Christmas favorite of mine! Last evening I started reading Lucette Nel’s book “A Match of Sorts”. I’m really enjoying this one also! Here is the first line: “She changed her mind.”

  2. Sadly, I've not read Robin's books.

It was days like this, when the sun bounced off Lake Superior with an eye-squinting brilliance, that Bree Nicholls forgot all her qualms about living where the Snow King ruled nine months of the year. - Without a Trace by Colleen Coble

Today on my blog, I am sharing the first line from My Heart Belongs in Niagara Falls, New York: Adele's Journey. I am currently on chapter 14, so I will share the first three lines from that chapter here.

"'Are you busy?' Adele looked up from the book lying in her lap. Uncle Osbourne stood at the threshold of the library."

  6. I always enjoy Robin's books since they're set in Idaho where I lived for several years (well, that and they're always good reads).

The first line from the next book I'm reading is:

It was no surprise to me that I'd lost track of time.
from A Song of Home by Susie Finkbeiner
